PROFESSIONAL BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Price has a
business and business litigation background with emphasis on competitive business
practices as well as sports, contract, real estate and construction law. Mr. Price
graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, in 1975 with Honors in political science. He
subsequently obtained his law degree in 1979 from the King Hall School of Law at
the University of California, Davis. He was admitted to the California Bar in
1979.
As a
business attorney, Mr. Price maintains a practice almost equally divided between
litigation and transactional matters. He serves as outside general counsel to the NBA’s
Sacramento Kings and has also successfully tried a complex federal antitrust case
which resulted in a recovery of four million dollars to his clients. Mr. Price's experience, accessibility and
consistent attention to detail have enabled him to provide quality, timely and
cost-effective legal services to his clients. He maintains not only the highest
standards of professional competence and integrity, but also the high ideals of
ethics and public service.
From 1986 to 1990, Mr.
Price was a partner in the Sacramento law firm of Rains & Price. In 1990, he
joined Dentino, Powell & DiGiusto in order to institute and manage that
firm’s litigation department. As of January 1993, Mr. Price returned to a
smaller, more specialized real estate and business law practice. Mr. Price
previously taught trial practice and sports law as an adjunct professor at the University of
California, Davis School of Law. He served for six years as a trustee on the
Roseville Hospital Board of Directors and was active for many years in youth
soccer and little league. Mr. Price also serves as an arbitrator and a pro tem
settlement conference judge for the Sacramento, Placer and Nevada County
Superior Courts. He is a member of the business and litigation sections of the State Bar of
California and the Sacramento County Bar Association; and the bench-bar liason
committee of the Sacramento County Bar.
